JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Production General Manager for a Manufacturing company in Fort Mills, South Carolina. The individual will be responsible for planning and prioritizing daily production tasks, managing a small team of 5-6 operators, and coordinating supply chain activities with commercial and central functions in Sweden. They will establish routines and work processes in the newly implemented ERP system (Business Central) and handle various facility tasks. A strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and experience with machining, coatings, and electromechanical assembly is beneficial. Sourcing skills for engineering manufacturing are advantageous. The ideal candidate is hands-on, has experience setting up ERP systems with a production focus, and has held management roles in small companies. They should be self-driven, have an engineering background, and be skilled in finance, operations, and P&L management. Experience in creating functional teams, customer interfacing, and working as part of a global team is essential. The candidate should be motivated, task-oriented, and able to work well as a team leader.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 10 years of Experience Plan and prioritize day to day work for production, run a small team of 5-6 direct reports (operators)
• Plan supply chain and work with Commercial (Shane) and Central functions in Sweden
• Set routines and work processes with guidance from central functions in the newly implemented ERP (Business Central)
• Understand production planning and inventory management
• Experience with machining, coatings and electromechanical assembly would be a plus
• Sourcing skills for engineering manufacturing would be advantageous
• Hands on person with low level of prestige
• Used to set up ERP systems with a production focus, BC(Business Central) is a big plus.
• Used to management roles in small companies
• Experience of creating good functional teams
